- Area of Professional Interest:
- Professor Perlman teaches courses in voice disorders, motor speech disorders, and in normal and disordered swallowing (dysphagia). Professor Perlman has appointments in the College of Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, and is on the Bioengineering faculty.
- Research Interests
- Professor Perlman’s primary research interest is in swallowing physiology and in the development of improved methods for diagnosis and treatment of oropharyngeal dysphagia.
