Speech and Hearing Science Building

The University of Illinois Audiology Clinic and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic provide high-quality diagnostic and treatment service for individuals with communication disorders. Open year-round, the clinics provide services to University students, staff, and faculty, as well as people throughout the East Central Illinois community.

The Clinics are open to the public, serving about 800 to 900 people each year. The Audiology Clinic provides services related to diagnostic testing, evoked responses, otoacoustic emissions, hearing conservation, evaluation and dispensing of programmable and digital hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and aural rehabilitation services for children and adults. The Speech-Language Pathology Clinic treats children and adults who have a wide variety of speech and language disorders, including aphasia, head trauma, preschool and school-age language disorders, phonological and articulation disorders, stuttering, voice, laryngectomy, and cleft palate.

Your gift to the Clinics will ensure that students have the opportunity to apply the instruction they receive in the classroom. More importantly, it allows them to develop the skills necessary to be outstanding audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
