The University of Illinois Department of Speech and Hearing Science is accredited by the Council of Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The Audiology Clinic and the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic provide comprehensive services to individuals of all ages in the community who may be experiencing speech or hearing difficulties. For most patients, referrals are not required, though many patients are referred by medical and educational agencies.
All diagnostic, consultative and treatment services are provided under the direction of certified, licensed audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
There are four metered spaces in Lot C5, directly to the south and west of the Department of Speech and Hearing Science building, reserved for Audiology Clinic patients. Additionally, patients are issued a pass to display in their vehicle while at the clinic. Free parking is provided for patients of the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic located on Oak Street.
