The Child Language and Literacy Lab consists of undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. We assist Dr. Laura DeThorne in her child language research which focuses on the genetic components of child language learning. Specifically, our tasks include language sample transcription, sample digitization, language sample analyses (e.g. DSS, Measure D, pragmatic coding), standardized child language testing and other miscellaneous tasks. These duties contribute to both the Western Reserve Reading Project and the development of a Parent Report Measure for School-Age Language.
