The Illinois International Stuttering Research Program includes investigators from the United States of America and from several other countries who cooperate selectively in the conduct of a wide range of investigations concerning stuttering. Its center is located at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Established in 1989 by Professor Ehud Yairi to pursue the objective of a broad approach to the study of stuttering via cooperation among scholars of different expertise, it is, at the present, probably the largest of its kind. The current Director is Professor Nicoline Ambrose.
